Attendees of the 2020 Sundance Film Festival had an opportunity to see ZZ Ward perform as part of the 2020 ASCAP Music Cafe on January 30th, and January 31st. It’s been a quite a week for ZZ Ward. She touched down in Park City at the Sundance Film Festival for the first time and performed two incredible shows to a packed listening room. ZZ Ward closed the ASCAP Music Café’s eight day stretch of music with a dynamic, bluesy acoustic set that left the audience wanting more of her honest, vulnerable performance and left the perfect taste of what we might expect from her upcoming Stardust Tour.
ZZ Ward also released the new single “Break Her Heart” yesterday paired together with the release of the music video for the song.
ZZ Ward: “Hi, my name is ZZ Ward, I am here at Sundance, my first time here, and I just got done playing at the ASCAP Showcase. I have a new song coming out tonight at midnight called “Break Her Heart” and a music video that was directed by Stephen Kinigopoulos and Alexa King and I guess while we are at Sundance, I could just say, it’s not like it’s playing here or anything, but it’s a very special video to me.”
I was just with somebody for a long time and I felt like they didn’t value the things that make me special and it was very trying on my confidence for a very long time and then they moved on, and I was pissed. It’s a song called “Break Her Heart” and it’s really embarrassing to play. But it comes out tonight at Midnight and I am very excited about it and the video is dope, so check it out.
I am coming back on the Stardust Tour to Salt Lake City, I am playing The Depot on March 2nd and lots of cities around the US so it is going to be lit!
