Utah Events and Activities February 2023

Local events in Utah for February 2023 worth checking out including fun family events, concerts, winter sports events, and ways you can celebrate Black History Month and Valentine’s Day this month. As we wrap up January, head back from the Sundance Film Festival and return to the everyday life of Winter in Utah, we still have plenty of noteworthy events and activities taking place throughout February 2023 here in Utah.

We’re celebrating Black History Month throughout February, the achievements by African Americans and their central role in U.S. history. On February 2nd, in SLC the Utah Black Artist Collective present an Intimate Open Mic Night alongside Black Cultural Center and the Union Programming Council.

Utah Boat Show – February 9th – 12th

The annual boat show returns to Utah on February 9th for four days of all things related to boating. Taking place at the Mountain America Expo Center, the Utah Boat Show will have all types of boats from houseboats, fishing boats, ski boats, wakeboard boats, pontoon boats and products and services related to boating.

Utah Sportsmen, Vacation and RV Show – Feb 16th – 19th

Torchlight Parade and Fireworks

Head up to Solitude Resort in Big Cottonwood Canyon for the Torchilight Parade and Fireworks on February 18th. The event is from 3:00pm – 7:30pm, and includes an Alphorn concert followed by an hour-long children’s magic show. The main event is the torchlight parade, when the group heads outside to watch Solitude staff members ride down the mountain as a synchronized, torch-lit team. New this season, the torchlight parade will be followed by a fireworks celebration. Guests who prefer to view the torchlight parade only are welcome to arrive at 6:00 p.m.

Chocolate Lovers Festival 2023 – February 11th

Head up to Solitude Mountain Resort to endulge in a chocolate lover’s winter paradise. Start your day by grabbing a passport outside of Last Chance or Moonbeam Lodge. Visit all the chocolate station to sample complimentary goodies. Collect a stamp at each station and be entered to win great prizes.
