The Maya Civilization At Natural History Museum of Utah

Explore the mysterious world of ancient Central America within the deep culture of the incredible Maya civilization, right here in Salt Lake City, Utah. Starting this Saturday, November 10th, the Natural History Museum of Utah will open the doors to it’s newest guest exhibit on display, Maya: Hidden Worlds Revealed. With incredibly detailed calendars built around mathematics to architecture and the simple things in life, such as chocolate, the traveling exhibit will teach guests about the sophisticated and often times complex ancient Maya civilization, through a display of over 200 artifacts, and a variety of activities.

Celebrating Central America and Mexico 

On opening day of the exhibit (November 10th) the Museum celebrates Central American and Mexican traditions with activities such as metal work demonstrations, corn husk creations, music and dancing, and traditional foods of the Maya region.
