At a press conference Thursday evening, Elon Musk unveiled the electric pickup truck from Tesla to a crowd of loyal followers of the electric car company . The Tesla Cybertruck was introduced to the world in a casual yet futuristic setting.
The unveiling took place at the Tesla Design Studio, next to SpaceX headquarters in Hawthorne. November, 2019, Los Angeles. This is the same month, year and location that the iconic sci-fi film Blade Runner is set in. After Musk confirmed on November 6th he was ready to go public with his passion project, anticipation for the specs of the Cybertruck grew. And since the unvieling there have already been close to 200,000 orders for the new off-road vehicle. This is according to Elon Musk in a recent Tweet.
The design seems to be creating a polarizing effect on the mass media as the internet either love the new design or hates it. The creation of designer Franz von Holzhausen.
One thing that makes the Tesla so incredible is it’s Exoskeleton. With an ultra-hard 30x cold-rolled stainless steel exoskeleton combined with Tesla armor glass, endurance and strength are a major selling point for the new Tesla.
The Cybertruck was built for both on-road and off-road applications.
The Tesla is scheduled to be available in 2021. With three models available it is starting at a range from $39,000.00.
