Sundance VR Showcase Opens EFM 360° VR Market at Berlinale

As part of the European Film Market during Berlinale 2020, EFM looks to explore the world of VR in two different ways; the VR NOW Summit as well as the EFM’s 360° VR Market Screenings. On Friday, February 21st the VR projects of the Sundance Film Festival are scheduled to open this year’s EFM’s 360° VR Market Screenings at the newly relocated .

The Sundance premiered VR projects showcased at Berlinale include Living Distance by Xin Liu, tx-reverse 360° by Martin Reinhart, and Virgil Widrich, VR Free by Milad Tangshir, and Go/Los by Sandro Zollinger, and Roman Vital. All four projects premiered at Sundance Film Festival as part of the New Frontier Program.

The screenings will take place in cooperation with INVR at the new screening venue “EFM VR Cinema.” The venue provides an ideal infrastructure to present VR content through state-of-the-art Oculus Rift technology. The EFM VR Cinema is located right next to Berliner Freiheit and it is wheel-chair accessible. Taking place on Friday, February 21st, starting at 5:00 pm, you can access the VR Showcase with a EFM Film badge.
