The Epic Pass is about to get even more epic in the 2019 – 2020 season as Utah’s Snowbasin announced they will be joining the popular multi location season ski pass along with Sun Valley Ski Resort located in Sun Valley Idaho. Snowbasin will be the second Utah ski resort joining the Epic Pass. Both Snow Basin and Sun Valley will begin joining the industry-leading Epic Pass beginning with the 2019-20 winter season. The Snowbasin season passes will go on sale in early March, 2019.
“Together with nearby Park City Mountain Resort, Snowbasin has an incredibly rich winter sports history and this expanded access provides two great options for Epic Pass holders in Utah,” said Kirsten Lynch, chief marketing officer of Vail Resorts.
Ogden’s premier ski resort has been dedicated to improving the ski experience for visitors. They’ve installed additional state-of-the-art snowmaking guns to keep the ride smooth and the snow abundant during the early season. From the John Paul Lodge, the Mt. Ogden Bowl Road has been widened and graded to improve the ride for snowboarders and skiers. Also the day lodges at Snowbasin are scheduled for renovations in preparation for the 2019 – 20 season.
“As one of the most accessible and historic ski areas in North America, Snowbasin is pleased to offer Epic Pass holders another option in Utah,” said Davy Ratchford, Snowbasin’s General Manager. “This will also greatly benefit Snowbasin’s longtime clientele with expanded access to resorts across the globe.”
Starting in the 2019-20 ski season, Snowbasin and Sun Valley will offer an extensive list of benefits for Epic Pass holders including Snowbasin Premier Season Pass holders receiving unrestricted passes will receive 50 percent off the one-day window lift ticket price at all Vail Resorts-owned and operated destinations once the Epic Pass holder’s respective days have been redeemed.
Epic Local Pass, Epic 7-Day Pass, Epic 4-Day Pass will have more limited access to Sun Valley and Snow Basin while also receiving %50 off one-day window lift ticket prices after their respective days have been redeemed.
