Garth Brooks is keeping his promise to his fans and arrived in Utah for back to back performances that start tonight (Friday, June 17th) with a follow up performance tomorrow night (Saturday, June 18th). Naturally, tickets are sold out for this high profile concert event with the legendary country artist. Since Garth Brooks broke onto the scene with “The Dance” in 1989 he has continued to hold a very special place in the hearts of Utah. The faithful songwriter will perform in Utah resuming his The Garth Brooks Stadium Tour which was postponed and cancelled due to the COVID 19 pandemic last year.
For Garth Brooks, the Tulsa born songwriter, Salt Lake City has always been a favorite location. In August of 1993 Garth Brooks played two nights of music for his fans in Utah. This year, he sold out his tickets for the second night in 45 minutes.
The opening act for the Garth Brooks concerts in SLC is Mitch Rossell.
tonight, Friday, June 17th and tomorrow, Saturday, June 18th, fans of the country mega star will be able to sing along with his classic songs before he heads out to Edmonton Alabama, Charlotte North Carolina, Buffalo New York, Arlington Texas and finishing off his US leg of the tour in Houston, Texas. Garth Brooks announced earlier this week that the last stop of the Stadium Tour will be in Houston Texas on August 6th. Garth Brooks has not performed in Houston in seven years.
