Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared Returns To Sundance Film Festival

Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared will return to the Sundance Film Festival in 2019. The first episode of Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared (DHMIS) entitled  “Creativity” screened at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. In the last six years, Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared has amassed a strong cult following including 1.8 million followers and 100’s of millions of views. At the 2019 festival DHMIS will debut a new 30 minute TV pilot as part of Sundance’s Indie Episodic category.

This 30 second teaser gives the viewer a taste of what to expect with the pilot episode. The description from Sundance Institute share details of the pilot that include Red Guy, Yellow Guy and Duck Guy live a simple life until the mayor of their small town of Clayhill, Mayor Pigface, suddenly disappears. The series is created by, written by and stars Becky Sloan, Baker Terry, and Joseph Pelling.

Sundance Announced 15 Animated Shorts In Competition

Sundance released details regarding the 15 Animated Shorts in competition at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival that included Tomek Popakul’s Acid Rain, Winnie Cheung’s Albatross Soup, Nikki Schuster Animistica, Anca Damian’s The Call, David Nessl Chichi, Lorène Yavo’s Count Your Curses, Marc Torices, Pau Anglada, Genis Rigol’s Knockstrike, Aggie Pak Yee Lee’s Muteum, André Hörmann, Anna Samo Obon, Jeron Braxton’s Octane, Geoff Marslett’s The Phantom 52, Renee Zhan’s Reneepoptosis, Siqi Song’s Sister, Michaela Olsen’s Under Covers and Ana Nedeljkovic, Nikola Majdak’s Untraveled.
