Leading fashion brands are carefully making their way towards the planning of major promotional events. In Venice Italy this weekend, Dolce & Gabbana‘s Alta Moda Fashion Show is one event everyone in the fashion industry who wasn’t invited have their eyes on. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana presented a show that included the luck of a rainbow and a special energy for the day’s event.
The Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda Fashion Show was authentically Italian and unlike any recent fashion show displayed on the famed Venice backdrop with a star packed audience that included the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, Kourtney Kardashian and Kris Jenner, Sean Combs with his daughter, Doja Cat, Ciara, Monica Bellucci, and Christian Bale. Dame Helen Mirren, and Lady Kitty Spencer were also in attendance bringing a bit of high British society to the court Venice.
Alta Moda is the new collection being released by Dolce & Gabbana. Traditionally in the world of fashion and tailoring, the term Alta Moda means to tailor make something unique, typically with high quality garments and embroidery, AKA Haute Couture. With Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Moda Collection, the designers present a youthful expression of couture, appealing to a more younger demographic than couture may be custom to.
The designers presented the new collection at St. Marks Square, a Venice landmark and a historic treasure of Italy. With a star-studded crowed of celebrities watching and some participating in the event, the atmosphere was tailored with a reverence for Italian craftsmanship. The 20 minute carnival experience began at as the sun slowly began to set with a grand performance of “Nessum Dorma,” from Jennifer Hudson in a beautiful gold Renaissance style gown truly fit for a queen. And as the sun slowly made it’s way over the Venetian backdrop, the Alta Moda collection began its reveal.
