Nestled within the four corners of the Utah’s Wild West, on a remote 600 acre portion of Canyon Point protected land is the awe-inspiring, hideway, Amangiri Resort and Spa. The award winning treasure has built a reputation as Southern Utah’s luxury superstar and one of the world’s leading resort escapes for wellness. Amangiri has become a destination for high profile people to rejuvenate from the chaos of celebrity. The resort offers breathtaking scenery, hikes, horseback riding, yoga on the rocks, and adventure combined with spa treatments and wellness programs designed to restore energy and vitality.
On the most recent addition of Justin Bieber’s Youtube special Seasons, Biebs and his team spent time at the resort in a temporary state of escape and creative rejuvenation. In 2017, Kim Kardashian celebrated her Birthday at Amangiri along with Kanye West, and last year DJ Tiesto and his wife had their wedding at the desert location.
Amangiri means ‘mountain of peace’ and as a contemporary destination for wellness, Amangiri provides guests with a spa experience made for those who can afford it’s royal treatment. The resort includes five treatment rooms, a water pavilion with steam room, sauna, plunge pool and heated step pool with stunning panoramic views of Studhorse Mesa, and the Escalante Staircase. The integrative spa experience at Amangiri includes the philosophy and belief system of the Diné (Navajo) people and the practice of restoring hózhó.
In April of 2020 Amangiri has plans to take the high-end “glamping” experience to a whole new level with the introduction of Camp Sarika. Located 5 minutes driving from the main Amangiri Resort, Camp Sarika encompasses ten canvas-topped pavilions. Guests have the option of either one or two bedrooms. Each pavilion includes its own living and dining areas, and a spacious private terrace that includes a bar and a fire pit. And to top off the experience, each pavilion has it’s own private plunge pool. Camp Sarikia also offers its own main pavilion and restaurant, two spa suites, one main swimming pool and a Jacuzzi.
Another recent addition to Amangiri is The Mesa at Amangiri. A set of 36 private homes designed by architect Annabelle Selldorf, the Mesa-style homes are spread over some of the stunning beauty of Utah’s desert landscape.
Amangiri has become one of Aman’s top resort destinations, and Mesa home owners will enjoy full access to the resort facilities including the 25,000 square foot Aman Spa, bar, restaurants and services that cover staffing, cleaning, entertaining, maintenance and security. Most importantly, owners of The Mesa at Amangiri will be embraced by the Aman Resorts’ lifestyle that has transformed and remolded expectations of the luxury traveler.
Amangiri is also equiped with two and a half acres of solar photo voltaics (PV), boasting Utah’s largest commercial solar PV. Because the resort’s remote environment requires a reliable solar system, Amangiri partnered with Sunpreme panels utilizing their innovative technology for a rugged EPC construction. The system generates an estimate of 900,000 kWh of clean electricity annually. That is enough energy to power approximately 300 homes.
